Emergency Response Crisis Management - School Bus Emergencies

During any emergency situation bus drivers must be able to focus on all of the interrelated pieces of a particular emergency. This workshop is designed to enhance your employees customer service skills by covering the basics, and empowering them with fresh, creative ideas to better serve the customers (ie. parents, students, faculty & staff) they encounter each day while having a few laughs along the way
Discipline on school buses is one of the biggest problems facing bus drivers. Students misbehavior can create a real safety issue. Maintaining discipline on the bus is critical to a safe bus ride, the question is, How? This workshop is perfect for learning tips on positive student management skills that will help you have a safe and successful bus ride. Making documentation a priority, especially when it comes to student transportation, can help mitigate disputes, offer resources when they are needed and answer important questions about the department. Good documentation will also protect you and your CDL! This session will cover general documentation as well as FMCSA required documentation for your department. Loading and Unloading The School Bus Safely
( 1 hour) The school bus is the safest vehicle on the road. According to NHTSA statistics, 121 students across the nation are killed each year in school bus related incidents. knowing what to do before, during, and after loading and unloading students is critical. This workshop reviews real life events and will empower you with knowledge that will help you avoid unsafe conditions that could result in serious injury or fatalities during and after loading and unloading students. ( 1 hour) School buses carry America's most precious cargo, and school bus drivers must remain vigilant to keep passengers safe. A bus drivers decisions directly impact the lives of the children on board and beyond. Being an attentive and alert driver can help prevent crashes that lead to unintentional injury and death. This highly engaging workshop presents real life driving situations, hazard recognition scenarios, and defensive driving techniques that will motivate your drivers to change their driving behaviors to help prevent collisions and injuries.
