Brandon was born and raised in Arizona. After graduating high school, he began working in the public safety field as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in Phoenix, Arizona. During this time, Brandon also volunteered in street patrol with the county's volunteer program. After serving with the Sheriff's Office for seven years, Brandon began working as an EMT for a local ambulance company. Brandon obtained his CDL in 2004, and began driving school buses on his days off. Brandon started as a substitute bus driver, before leaving EMS for a full-time position as the lead safety trainer, and then a route supervisor for a local school district.
In 2008, Brandon founded his own company AZ Safety Pros. Under AZ Safety Pros, Brandon provided CPR and first aid training, consulting services for school transportation departments, CDL/bus driver training, and traffic school services for the courts. Brandon spent three months as a contracted consultant for the Tucson Unified School District transportation department, which is the second largest district in the State of Arizona with over 300 bus drivers. In 2018, Brandon went back to work for a public-school district as the Director of Transportation.
In 2020, Brandon moved to Idaho where he is currently working as the assistant director of transportation for a local school district. Brandon also currently serves on the board of directors for the Idaho Association of Pupil Transportation. In 2021 and 2022, Brandon was invited by the Idaho State Department of Education, to travel the state and present pre-service training for about 2,500 bus drivers around all five regions of the state. Brandon has also been a presenter for the "Train the Trainer" at the IAPT summer conference.
